Can't load save game, loading stops at "Waiting for other empires"

I've been playing Endless Legend a while, and only just started having this issue. When I tried loading my game, it would load up to the point of "Waiting for other empires," then would never get past that. This is also affecting my older saves.

You could try the ELCP Endless Legend Community Patch. It contains a bunch of fixes that the developers won't or cannot do and a huge bunch of improvements otherwise...especially to the AI.

Did you try verifying the Steam files? And then apply ELCP again as this will break the mod I think.

Or alternately you could wipe the whole install folder and redownload the game.

Well after wiping the install folder, I can start new campaigns, but the my previous saves are still broken. It sucks to have lost that progress, but at least I can play the game. Thanks for the help.
