Hey everybody,


for this Halloween, we're resurrecting the dead! Yes, that's right, we're finally back with another community scenario.

Get all the details (and the save) below!



Haunted


This is preposterous! Unseen Forces? Whispers in the Dark? Computers malfunctioning for no reason? Has our entire scientific staff gone mad with superstition?

More and more of them make these ridiculous claims, even when faced with evidence against their so-called observations. Many of them refuse to return to work they had been doing. One of them even decided that they're leaving even though they were supposed to examine the event horizon of the nearby black hole! Where has their sense of discovery gone?

Ghost and specters... Unfounded superstitions! Al of this must have rational, scientifically examinable explanations! There's no no ghosts, no haunts. But hat could have spooked the brightest minds of Sophonity so much that they step away from research?

We will find the source of this disturbance, and eliminate it from the equation!



In this scenario, the Sophon find themselves in a galaxy that seems abandoned by all other major powers. Yet not all is at it seems, as several other powers operate In The Shadows and vie for Supremacy. Try to win a Supremacy Victory as fast as possible, against this slippery, hidden foe.

Beautiful idea,

When I play the umbral choir I always attempt to remain undetected for the entire game. Haven't managed to succeed yet.

This should be an interesting change of pace.

137 turns, I rushed detection and found all the homes fairly early on, but as soon as I looked, they were instantly beaconed away. yey...

Caught one early, as they beaconed to a node on a lane.

Spend 80 turns looking for off-lane nodes to find the other two. I would not say it makes for fun gameplay.
I suppose knowing the map layout now I could push it to reasonable 60ish?


Take this from me, never ever play on supremacy-only against UC.
And if possible simply never play against UC at all. The race is just too off the charts, since high density is popular, the turn 50ish conquest is hardly avoidable.

Provided they can click faster than you and you do not have ALL the nodes locked down with highest detection tier, you are in for a looooong ride.


Oh and I also managed to ignore "force truce" requests for about 50 turns of the game.
