I present you the Legion: On asteroids living silicon based Fungoids.

-Appearance: Silicon Fungoids

-Home Planet Type: Asteroids/Moons

-Diplomatic Alignment: Unknown

-Gameplay: Anti-Terraforming(Xenoforming), Mastery of the hostile Dust

-Main Victory Type: YOUR VISION their future.

Biography:

The silicon based ancestors of The Legion(Acteons) originated from a different universe without any hyperstrings and therefore offered very limited living space. 

They fed on strategic resources and were tunneling through planets and asteroids to reproduce themselfes. They began to construct portals into other universes and started to expand in a different way conquering a multi-universal empire.

 At some point in the history they encountered "our" universe and as fate willed the Endless. They declared war on the Endless but hadn't planned on encountering the "Dust." 

In the end the Endless were only remnants fighting a cross-universe empire. As a last resort the Endless programmed the Dust so that it would behave like a virus killing all Acteons but leaving their bodys intact, so that the Virtual Endless could use them. Something went terrible wrong and lead to the downfall of the multi-universe Empire and the Endless aswell. A new form of live was created. The souls of the of the virtual Endless were devoured , the Nameless was born. 

A living "god" ruling over a race of mindless stillbirths. He admires all species of individuals and want to live in peace with them to fill the emptiness in his soul. 

Core Gameplay Affinity:

 1. ASTEROIDS ASTEROIDS ASTEROIDS:

 Thewhole race theme is based on the life on asteroids.

 -Xenoforming ("in case of the Legion this means the transformation of habitable planets into lifeless asteroid fields or gas giants) 

  There could also be different ones of them like Standard asteroid belts like in the solar system, ice belts out past the frost line, and circumstellar debris/dust disks in young systems.For example having a standard asteroid belt near the habitable zone could provide different bonuses. 

-Live among the Stars: „The Legion“ can colonise asteroids and gas giants without any technologie. 

-The Legion suffers HUGE penalties when colonizing normal planet types making the creation of new asteroid fields essential for its survival. 

-Can and have to blow up planets to create new asteroid fields as their most benefical habitable space. 

  Side Note: This would logical wise force the implementation of a Asteroid terraforming option for the other races to prevent scorched earth tactis (And we all want a "terraform asteroids tech" for all the other races since a long time didnt we?) ;D Also we could add  an option to "catch" Dust rich asteroids and form new asteroid fields to create a      another peaceful way to create new habitats for the Legion enabling them to play as isolationists. 

->The Legion can be played as pacifists as their habitat does not intervene( normaly) with the habitats of other species. 

2. The embracement and seeking of individuality: 

The Legion were Warriors for a very long time and just lost recently the intrest in conventional wars as they got impressed from the individuality and variety of the aliens they encountered after a millienia of solitude .

Yet the Legion consists out of mindless shells making them valuable slaves pops for other factions while themselfes having a unique political government to reflect issues in co-existing with xenos.

And to reflect that harmony and peace is not something easly achieved. 

-Governmental system:The "Nameless" is a single indiviudal which inhabitats every single Legionary who exists at the start of the game. 

- Legion is over the course of the Game changing from a monocrazy to a very unique kind of democrazy. 

- Senatorial mechanics and xeno understanding are unique technolgie trees for the Legion. 

   (Need more feeback can be scratched if disliked) 

Additional ideas (possibilitys):

1. Uses strategic Ressources( Hexaferum e.g.) to build new pops.

 -The Legion uses strategic ressources as raw material for its population and let them grow in combination with their (hostile) Dust.

 -The Legion has to BUILD(let grow) its population by using hostile Dust (special programmed Dust nanobots) as rawmaterial in combination with strategic resources using it as "nectar" for its silicon based spores. 

  (Need more feeback can be scratched if disliked) 

-> Unique Pop mechanic.

2. Infests other systems with HOSTILE Dust to bring chaos and weakness to all warmongering aliens instead of a conventional war. 

  They concentrate on the spread of "hostile" Dust a unique form of the Dust to use it as a diplomatic leverage (in combination or as substitution to Influence)

 -Uses hostile Dust instead of normal Dust. 

 -Can use hostile Dust as a diplomatic leverage. 

  (Need more feeback can be scratched if disliked) 

-> The Legion can be played as diplomats and traders with their "hostile Dust" as leverage.

Yes I realy love asteroids and I always disliked the rather common system that some planet/tile types are useless imo everything should have its niche.

I realy tryed to avoid those but i guess it is impossible to be 100% sure if english isent your mothertongue.

I made my submission the other day and its actually already there under "Sea-Dragon Xenophile Traders". However now, I took some clue from the way Amplitude likes to name its creations and they are now The Avant. 

Since we cannot change our thread titles right now it'll have to stay as is.

In terms of quality, I'm more of an artist than a writer but that doesn't mean I am bad, it just means I am slow. Even though its 1 in the morning right now, I am going to sit down and format it a bit, kind of like you have done to improve the look and readability of the page.

With the spelling mistakes, I wouldn't worry its still completely understandable and its really just some mistakes like a single missing letter. I've actually noticed the auto spellcheck not working all the time on the forum and have been turning it on and off to highlight my own mistakes.

I want to go through most of the submissions and give each person some feedback if I can, the problem that there seems to be is that certain submissions will get buried under newer ones with more frequent comments and I can only hope the best ones filter to the top of the pile. So I'm not sure if the voting working like this will actually be fair to all participants and I'm wondering if someone has the courage to compile a series of good submissions into a link thread a week or so into the first stage before it ends.

Not sure that such a storied past will be okay by Slowhands' standards, but in any case we'd adapt it.

Yeah I thought I need to rewind my reel a little bit to the starting location in regards to story. So I went and changed it a few minutes ago.

And unfortunately I cannot find the path to editing the topic, its either really hidden or actually not a privilege we have. I can only edit the post and nothing more.

Or im just really blind, I'm really sorry If I am, because I have sat and moving my pointer around the whole page looking for it and even went into different sections to see if I can work around it. My title lacks kick and I want to put some kick into the lack of kick.
