Who are the Alumta'ni?

A race that defies the traditional concept that separates organisms to either Plant or Animal, the Alumtani is best described as Anthropomorphic Trees or 'Leaf-man' to the fouler mouths. They are of the gentler sort, with their bodies covered in soft vegetation, and held together by a frame of a wood-ish skeletal structure. The Alumta'ni are not especially strong, nor are they fast, or even sturdy (they burn quite easily), however they have evolved an interesting trait, Calming Fumes. The body of the Alumta'ni, exudes a certain chemical compound that neutralizes the emotional and aggressive triggers in the brain of most creatures. This allows them to avoid most confrontations with the local wildlife of their home planet and even create civilizations alongside herbivores, carnivores, and those pesky fire bugs.

What are the Alumta'ni?

The Alumta'ni are master negotiators, and are able to sway the minds of intellectual beings to the point of rationalism and proper discussion. Their ability to persuade makes it easier for them to attract the approval of their population, and also incorporate other races (minor factions) to rally to their side in time of need. As an Alumta'ni you would want to get to know as many people as possible, and interact with them directly as much as you can, doing so will allow you to sway things to your favour.
