Hey! This is my first time on these forums. I have only been playing Endless Space 2 for about a week, but I really love it. I adore the Unfallen and had to make a suggestion here. Hopefully my idea doesn't have too many holes in it! :)

Requirement: Terraform a world.

Description: Unrest has erupted among the intelligentsia of Unfallen society following the terraforming of a new world. Thought to be a hitherto empty planet, a hastily filed report has revealed that the planet had been home to what could have been a proto-Unfallen species, similar in form and thought, though lesser. Utterly destroyed by the (as of yet) unrefined terraforming process, shockwaves have roared throughout Unfallen culture since the report has been uncovered. Who would they have been? What path could they have grown in? As the topic begins to rise in heat, it also reaches deeper: What use is the Light, if we cannot notice those under us? What use is the Fire, if it destroys the seedlings?

Option 1: Religious

Description: The destruction of the Unsprouted becomes the center of a larger creed: The connection between a world and its lifeforms is sacred. We are of our world more than any people, and to protect that connection, wherever we discover it, is an intrinsic part of our meaning.

Objective: Terraform the planet back to its original state.

Reward:  Law - Oath of the Unsprouted: -X% Terraform Speed, +X% Approval and Influence.

Description: An unprecedented solution, to be sure, but one that is emblematic of a changed people. A rush of purpose passes through the Unfallen.

Option 2: Science

Description: Many Unfallen thinkers have confided that while they protest the loss of the Unsprouted, the process of terraforming is too vital to be abandoned. A small cadre of those thinkers propose that, through research, it is possible to minimize future disasters while also retaining a useful tool for expansion. Perhaps this is a reasonable compromise?

Objective: Entwine systems consisting of six different types of planets.

Reward:  System Improvement - The Planetary Life Database: Empire unique structure, grants +X% Science based on number of different planet types in empire.

Description: A calm settles over the incensed Unfallen. Out of this tragedy, a measurable progression has been made.

Option 3: Industry

Description: Among the frontier worlds, the debate has brought to surface an emnity for the more aloof, erudite Unfallen who cannot appreciate the realities of an interstellar empire. No one is happy about the destruction of the Unsprouted, but they have been burned to allow the growth of greater roots. Embracing this sacrifice is key to understanding Fire.

Objective: Produce X amount of Production on the terraformed planet, within Y turns.

Reward:  Empire Improvement - The Fire of Progress: Gain temporary +X% Science after terraforming away from cold planets, Gain Industry when terraforming away from hot planets, Gain Food when terraforming away from temperate planets.

Description: Though a melancholy seeps throughout the empire, from it rises a sobering realization: The Fire was always ruthless. It cannot be anything else. And yet, it is also never the end.
