A while ago we got a 3d printer at home, great fun, plastic bits everywhere.
Now a few days ago I stumbled upon this thread, where they said it was possible to export the models as collada files. It also said that most models werent suitable for 3d printing, which I also

discovered myself. But after trying a bunch of files, and modyfing some slightly so they would print correctly, I managed to print this bolt-class ship.

After printing, glueing and priming, I must say I am quite pleased with the result. the only thing that needed some redoing were the front flaps/panels, which needed to be beefed up a little in blender. Gonna try to paint it later this week, and maybe see if I can print some of the other ships as well.
Book for scale and appropiate theme.
