As a Fan of the Drakken, ive had trouble wondering how the Drakken would survive should they appear in a future Endless space game or dlc considering their main quest was their leader going to fanatical levels of devoutness for the Endless, and I believe I've came up the most probable scenario.

"Auriga is dying, it is becoming more apparent and inevitable. The ground is beginning to break apart, the winters are getting even colder, yet not only have the Drakken Leaders refused to adapt, they have also reinforced their belief that the planet can still be saved, and have brought many Drakken citizens under their religious belief in the Endless.

This has split the Drakken people in half, the Revivors led by the Drakken Leaders are those who believe in the Endless and saving the planet, and the Survivalists led by Researcher Namkang and the other 6 Drakken heroes, a mainly scientific group who seek to separate themselves from the Endless and find a way to get off the dying planet.

The Survivalist scour the land, where they find an ancient starship, the Success, they hide this knowledge from the Revivors in fear of losing their possibly last chance of getting off Auriga.

2 Months after the Vaulter ship Argosy left and the destruction of the Grey Owl, The Survivalist fully repair the Success however a Drakken civil war had broken out a month before, and the Revivors have learned about the Success.

Knowing their time was short, Namkang and the 6 other Drakken Heroes quickly load their people and a handful of Nidya refugees onto the Success, before launching the starship and leaving the nearly dead planet behind, Leaving their Revivor Brethren behind."

With my current Knowledge of the Drakken, this is probably the most likely scenario for the Drakken to live, It is highly unlikely that all Drakken, especially the more scientific and down to earth ones, would follow their Leaders beliefs (who according to last faction quest believe that either you are with them or against them) and would try to find a way off the planet instead of saving it.

does this scenario make the most sense to you for the drakken to survive, or is there context that im missing?
