My question is, if you start colonize a system that have 2 Lava planets, what kind of exploitation you put on it? Usually I put food exploitation on the first planet for a fast growth. But if there is 2 Lava I cannot do that. What you guys doing?
Usually by the time you have these, you should have system improvements that alleviate the lack of food, or be close enough to be able to research them fairly soon. Either that or just bring in the big guns and make a fleet of colonization ships to populate the system quickly.
