I think vassalage is the way to go :)

So you would have won much earlier.
Reload and try again: Once you take London and Bordeaux you can make peace and select vassalage.

Hey, we will need the save file, so we can check the difficulty and the turns . Otherwise it will be an invalid entry unless you are on GeForce or other platforms in which you cannot get it, and in that case please tell me the data we need (difficulty + turns)
