A few days ago, I said I would find the map seed for a game. However once I loaded up the save and looked for it, in game settings (not to be confused with options), I could not find the map seed. It looked like this:

As you can see, the game seed can't be found, instead I had to use a convoluted solution. There is no reason why you should have to do like I did to find the map seed, instead it should be shown in the game settings or in some place in which it is easy to find. There are many reasons why you would want to find the map seed, such as replaying a map you liked or playing the same map as other people are playing and I can't think of any reason why you would want the map seed to be hidden, except if you worry about scouting a map, especially in a multiplayer setting, but from what I can tell you can already load up a multiplayer game as any player and check what they are doing.

This is a simple and very good idea  :)
