Hi everyone,


Tomorrow is the big day! Endless Space 2 will be available on Steam Early Access at 7pm (CEST - Paris time). 


We've updated the minimum requirements on the Steam store page, so feel free to have a look to make sure your PC can run it. Here they are anyway:


Minimum:

  • OS: Windows (64bits only) 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
  • Processor: i3 4th generation / i5 2nd generation / A6 series
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon 5800 series / NVidia 550Ti
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 8 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DX11 compatible
  • Additional Notes: Minimum Resolution: 1280 x 720

 

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows (64bits only) 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10

Also, you will be able to choose from two editions of Endless Space 2:

  • The Standard Edition available at $39,99 / £34,99 / € 39,99, with a 25% discount ($29,99 / £26,24 / € 29,99)
  • The Deluxe Digital Edition available at $49,99 / £44,99 / € 49,99, also with a 25% discount ($37,49 / £33,74 / € 37,49), which contains the digital soundtrack by FlybyNo and cosmetic in-game bonuses inspired by the Pathfinders of the Academy. 




Note that the Founder Bonuses are only available during the Early Access. Those bonuses are the Cravers Prime fleet skin, a special forum award, G2G points, forum avatars and a unique forum title!

Also - I'm a bit curios about those requirements. Going by EL, I shouldn't be able to run it, but I still play EL on highest settings... hope to see this happen again in ES2. :)

Though you with SEGA now and someone has not to fear for the existants of the studio I will buy the Deluxe Edition so that I can support you the most.
If there is one game I know I can spend money on in early acess then it will be the ones from the Endless Series.

but to be honest dont be afraid I think it will be like Endless Space One. Free choosable fleet designs for your races.

Either Vaulters or United Empire I think.


But the Devs loves the Vaulters though I dont know which of them I would like more actually. Vaulters had their showtime already(EL) but UE is well yeah the generic evil human empire.

(Though on the otherside I dam loved the gameplay of the UE in Endless Space One)

If you look back to Endless Legend, the Vaulters had an alternate skin, the Mezari - so I think you'll find they'll have a second Cravers faction called 'Prime' or something else badass.

Alternatively, it might just affect the Custom Factions - it was hinted at that we can again choose our Custom Factions' appearance (Missed that feature in EL), though I'm not sure if this is true or not, it may have simply been misspoken. Having watched MasterOfRoflness' videos on ES2, I'm sceptical of a Vodyani Custom Faction with, say, Sophon's appearance - what about the Ark? Will it still be Vodyani? A sleek new Sophons design? Or will it be invisible?
