Hey everyone,


So many things have been happening recently with Endless Space 2 that you might have missed the news that ModDB is hosting an Endless Space 2 mod creation competition!


Modders can submit all sorts of mods, from ship skins to quests, to try and win one of the bundles awarded to the top 10 entries! Check out the prize list below:


1ST PRIZE

NVIDIA 1080 GPU

ES2 signed & framed print

2ND - 4TH PRIZES

You have until January 14th, 2018 to submit entries (yes, you can try your luck with multiple entries!), which sounds like a fun family activity to do over the holiday break between two heavy meals. If you've never made a mod before, don't forget to check out our Modding forum where you'll find tips and example mods!


The full rules of the competition are available on ModDB's website, so make sure you take a look before you get creatin'.

I think is bound to help modding community grow, as one of most the prominent modders of ES2 I’m happy to try answer modding questions people have and help where I can, I’m most active on the #Modding channel in the Official Amplitude Community Discord.


I will be entering all my mods in a few weeks, along with quite a few new ones that I have been planning for a while, As this competition is timed well with when I finally have the free time to do a ton of modding.

I've got no clue how to mod Endless games beyond a few adjustments to code lines.  But I do have lots of Ideas!  If any modder wants some ideas, be sure to check out the ideas section on this website, there are many good suggestions.  Also check out my Idea for a better Custom Faction Editor, perhaps the mod community can help make these ideas a reality.
