Hey everyone,

Time for us to share a little something special we've been cooking up for some time! This is the start of a new series of video expanding on Amplitude and our games: Quality time with Jeff Spock.

In a remote and secret location somewhere on Auriga, the so-called "château Spock," the eponymous proprietor, who you know better as Slowhands, Narrative Director, welcomes us in his cozy den. Sat by a roaring fire and in the company of StoryEngine, Senior Writer, he lets you in on the creative process behind the Endless universe. A nice sneak preview of stuff to come on endless day perhaps?

Endless Content? does that mean that this series will go on indefinitely because that sounds good to me!

Also, I sure the Sci-Fi Design School gives a bonus of production not science (it’s something like 20 per system level) was it science at one point?

Great video, interesting to see your thoughts on the series! I would definetly agree that the combination of sci-fi technology and fantasy creates a very distinct world.

Thanks for the comments! Though I have to apologize because I am not going to answer questions about future content. The one thing I have learned in 7 years at Amplitude is that plans change all over the place....

If we get good feedback we can do more--I'm kinda starting to like the tweed jacket look ^^

Nice vid, waiting for more. The endless lore and its perfect match art style are unique and interesting. I still hope an e-book on Steam about different endless stories since Endless Legend but a man can only hope.

About learning more of the Endless. I think It would be a good thing to know and It won't hurt the mystery. Afterall, the Endless themselves gaining great knowledge from some shiny rock. More importantly, the lore of the dust is more interesting in my opinion. Creating anything with it and I think It has its own AI? Anyways If the lore about the Dust is expanded, It would reflect the gameplay too. In all endless universe games, the dust serves as a main source of power. So in a sense, you are doing these amazing things with dust. You are rushing units or buildings making lots of things in one turn. You are powering your ships and etc. Even though it supposed to be this uncontrollable technology which brings Endless to flee the galaxy, we only get to use it as a currency. Most of the factions use this as currency purposes there are even things like inflation within the game. Which is a good thing, giving this sense of even factions don't know how properly use it but here is my long hidden point for this.

Why would the Vodyani -the only faction which uses the dust beside currency purposes- use the dust as a money? They even create life from it and worship it. Shouldn't a secret thing is getting used to doing the daily currency stuff would be a disgraceful thing for Vodyani?
