Hey everybody,
Do you remember the Community Challenge on the Endless Day weekend this year? We asked you to explore a total of 3.5 million star systems in Endless Space 2, and you answered that call eagerly. You easily met our expectations and unlocked all three rewards of the challenge. In fact, unless my memory deceives me, you exceeded our expectations to the point that the tracker could not keep up with your progress!
Now, the minor faction you discovered in your exploration of the Endless Galaxy has finally arrived to join your empire, and turn your trash into treasure. The Muck and Makers add-on contains one new minor faction, a quest related to them, and a new hero. Though it seems the Umbral Choir has hacked this update, as the Umbral Choir comic is available in the Endless Space 2 - Stories DLC and on Games2Gether.
1) Minor Faction – Basryxo
This society evolved in the detritus of what is essentially a garbage planet, as myriad forms of waste were dumped on the world for centuries. Starting from ragged scavengers to become pragmatic and efficient recyclers, they have learned to turn garbage into gold.
2) Quest – Munchie Madness
The coolest, tastiest treat across the galaxy is a new fast food, Haroshuarm. The trend has taken settled planets like a storm, but unfortunately, the incredible leap in take-out consumption has created vast quantities of garbage, that you will need to handle…
3) Hero – Fore Sagazh Jabble
A carefree, curious and accident-prone creature, integrated to the society of Heroes when an Academy explorer ship arrived to study their planet.
To unlock the new content, you will need to link your Steam and Games2Gether accounts. To do so, go to the Rewards tab of your profile page, and click on the “link account” button at the top. (If you have already linked your account, this button will say “Sync my account” instead.) Once your accounts are linked, scroll down to the content section of the Rewards tab, click on “Muck and Makers,” then click on “Redeem it on Steam.” This will add the Muck and Makers add-on to your Steam Library and allow you to activate it in the content menu of Endless Space 2. On this page, you will also find the Umbral Choir comic for download.
