Hi everyone!  


We're very glad you guys are putting the Bug Report and the Tech Support forums to good use!

In order to help you the best we can, we are going to need you to provide some files along with the issue you are encountering.


Tech Support Attachments

  • Screenshots (especially when you encounter cases of graphical corruption)
  • Diagnostic files (select the correct file by looking at the name like "Diagnostics - 2016'10'11 @1407'46''" that gives you the date and hour which should correspond to a save file)
    • PC: located by default under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Documents\Endless Space 2\Temporary Files"
    • Mac: located by default under "User/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/Endless Space 2/Temporary Files"
  • Output logs 
    • PC: one output_log.txt located under Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space 2 in a folder named in the YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS format created in case of crash and one in the EndlessSpace2_Data folder
    • Mac: Player.log located under User/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Logs/Unity/
  • DxDiag (PC only): Attach a DxDiag report.
  • Apple System Profiler (Mac only): Copy and paste the content of the Apple System Profiler report (do not attach the report file directly, we can't use it!)


So, if you want to report, for instance.. The game crashing on PC at the end of the loading screen before the main menu:

1. Tag your thread title with either [PC] or [MAC] so we know what we're talking about.

2. Describe the issue simply in the title so we can easily identify similar issues. 

So far your title should look like this: [PC] Game crashes after loading before the main menu

3. Add further details in the content of your post.

4. Attach your output_log and Diagnostics files along with your DxDiag

5. Hang in there, help is coming :)
