It was just officially announced in the PC Game Show @ E3 that the new "Humankind Closed Beta" is NOW LIVE / ACTIVE !!! 

Huzzah !!!

It will be active from June 13th to June 21st.

Anyway, I guess those who have pre-ordered Humankind can jump in and play the beta directly. It seem others can watch Twitch Streamers for 2 hrs (not 3 hrs like in previous opendevs) who stream Humankind gameplay and have drops actived to earn access via drops to the Closed Beta (linking their games2gether account to their twitch account of course, then link their games2 gether account to their steam account).

Disclaimer: I find all the time conversions a bit confusing. Not to mention that two diffent channels on Twitch has a bit different times in their schedules. So please make sure You check for Yousrelves to not miss anything. Please do NOT blame me if You miss the stream.  I have tried to relay the below information to the best of my ability.

The PCGamingShow will be streamed live tonight at 23:25 CEST / 21:25 (9:25 pm) GMT / 14:25 (2:25 pm) PDT/Pacific Daylight Time (which is the currently is in effect and not pst). 

It will stream for 2 hour and end at 01:25 CEST / 23:25 (11:25 pm) GMT / 16:25 (4:25 pm) PDT/Pacific Daylight Time.

On that channel it says it will stream for 1 1/2 hour and end at 01:00 CEST / 23:00 (11:00 pm) GMT / 16:00 (4 pm) PDT/Pacific Daylight Time (which again is a bit confusing).

Somewhere during that stream more official news will be announced about the upcoming Humankind Closed Beta. Hopefully an announcement of when exactly it goes active. :)

On the TwitchGaming Channel there are acctually other live streams and trailers being broadcasted from E3 right now. All evening I think they will have live streams on it.

Note: I will try to update this post with more official info about the upcoming Humankind Closed Beta as soon as I find any more info being released.

Latest News As Of 2021-06-12

There was an interview with Jeff Spock from Amplitude at Saturdays PC Game Show Live Stream (approximately 10 hours ago when I'm writing this) on Twitch Gaming. Even the streamer @BurkeBlack was participating and gave his own feedback and impression of Humankind.

Yes, during the interview Jeff Spock also Announced the upcoming Humankind Closed Beta !!! No details of when it is starting yet, but Jeff said to keep Your eyes out/open and stay tuned for more info.

So, according to that info, once it is started You can either gain access to the Closed Beta directly by pre-ordering Humankind, or watch various streamers that has Humankind "!drops" enabled to gather points towards the drop. Usually that means watching streamers for a total of 3 hours. You can switch and watch different streamers to accumulate the 3 hrs that unlocks earning the drop. As I said that is how it usually have worked anyway. 

Usually alot of Twitch Streamers have "!drops" enabled during these events. Like @DevildogFF/eXplorminate, @MordredViking, @Enigmaticrose4, @LordLambert, @2DKiri, @WritingBull, @shenryyr, @Munchie, @Venalis, @Cringer, @bokoen, @RepublicOfPlay, @Gigau and so many others. At least these streamers have streamed Humankind during previous OpenDevs as well as have had "!drops" enabled. The list would be enormous if I tried to list all streamers that have streamed Humankind in the past.

Also I assume the various content creators that have unlockable in-game avatars, might have the drops for those activated as well. So time to earn those unlocks as well. Unless You already have them all. In game Avatars from:

To unlock the content creators Avatars You need to watch each streamer exclusively for 1 hr (I think it has been in the past anyway). You can only earn and unlock for example GamerZakh's Avatar by acctually watching GamerZakh streaming Humankind gameplay.

I would also imagine that Amplitude/Humankind will have "!drops" enabled on their stream during the upcoming Thursday.

I hope some will find all the above info helpful. 

As usual You must link Your Games2Gether account to Your Twitch account to activate those unlocks from "!drops". Also link Your Steam account to Your Games2Gether account. Then once they are fully earned on Twitch, usually You once more need to refresh the link between Your Twitch account to Your Games2Gether account. Then refresh the link between Your Games2Gether and Your Steam account. Just to be sure the latest drops are activated and accessible.

Note: Do note that the Humankind Closed Beta event is NOT live yet (when I'm writing this). It will be announced when it goes live, so keep Your eyes peeled. Maybe at the PC Game Show live stream on Sunday, or Humankinds official Twitter Account etc, for more details. Due to NDA I can not give any more details at this point. All info included in this post has already been officially announced and released by Amplitude at this point in time.

Links to some of the Twitch Streamers channels whom at least I have watched streaming Humankind during some of the past OpenDev events. Streamers who usually also have "!drops" enabled. Just to help people find Humankind streams a bit easier. I will also add a link to their YouTube channels. At least of the creators that I know of their YouTube channels. Some of the content creators are very active on both Twiych and YouTube, others are more active on one of them. You will have to check for Yourself who is most active on which Platform.

Note that "!drops" can only be earned during Twitch streams, not during YouTube streams.

@Kaecilius Just like @isle9 wrote, the way it has been announced and worded under the official Closed Beta video on YouTube it definetly seems like You can gain access to this Beta from Twitch Drops as well. Just like I wrote in my original post. Unless that is some text only copied over from older videos since it says "OpenDev key drops enabled" and was unintentional. However the rest looks new as they have written "Closed Beta" in the sentence before that, so I think it is intentional. It could just be that the name of the "!drops" is still called "OpenDev" in the Twitch drop system (like before), while it is now giving access to this Closed Beta as well. However as for now I have just gathered the official info as it stands when I found it.
